An audit report is only useful if you know which sections actually predict whether your order will arrive on time and to specification.
Most buyers skip to the final score. That is a mistake — the score is an average, and averages hide the problems that matter.
Start with the legal section: business licence, registered capital and export licence must all be current and must match the name on your contract. A trading company presenting itself as a factory is the single most common cause of quality disputes.
Next read the capacity section against your own order. A factory running at 95% utilisation cannot absorb your 40-foot container without displacing someone else, and that displacement is usually where delays begin.
Finally, look at the quality-control findings rather than the quality-system certificates. ISO 9001 says a system exists on paper; the inspector's notes on incoming material checks and in-line testing tell you whether anyone follows it.
